How to Connect to Your Server via FTP

Learn how to connect via FTP to access your files with ease.

Why Use FTP?

An FTP client unlocks a toolbox for managing your Minecraft server. Upload custom maps, mods, and plugins with ease. It’s like having a personal file organizer for your server. Plus, FTP lets you create local backups much faster, saving you from disaster if your server crashes or data goes missing and you do not with to use the on-site backup manager.

Have a File Over 100MB? Use FTP

While our panel includes a built-in File Manager, we have size limits to prevent abuse & make sure our servers are not overloaded. A third-party FTP client gives you the power to access, upload, and download files without those restrictions, ensuring your Minecraft experience stays seamless.

How to Connect via FTP (using WinSCP)

  1. Login in to the RocketNode Panel.
  2. Go over to the Settings tab in your panel.
  3. Click Launch SFTP. (Make sure you have a FTP Client installed)
  4. Once prompted to insert a password, introduce your panel’s account password.
  5. You should now have access to your files!
