Installing mods on your DayZ server is the best way to differentiate your server from others, offering the players a unique experience, that cannot be found on any other server. Choosing the right mods for your server is the factor that will make players either play or not on your server.

NOTE: Make sure you have a file transfer protocol program installed, such as FileZilla or WinSCP. Some of the mods are over 1-2GB and the panel doesn’t allow uploads that big, therefore you need to use such program.

Downloading a Mod

1. Go to Steam DayZ Workshop and choose a mod you want to download
2. On the mod’s page, press on the Subscribe button

1. Open DayZ, access the mods tab and you will be able to access the folder by clicking on the 3 dots when you select the mod you want to access, then clicking on “Open folder in Windows Explorer”

Uploading the Mod On the Server

1. Log in to the RocketNode Game Panel and access the DayZ server
2. Turn the server OFF, from the Console tab
3. Connect to your server via the FTP program. For this tutorial we will be using FileZilla
4. Drag and drop the downloaded plugin into the root folder.
5. Go into the mods folder, than into the Keys folder, and copy the file that ends with .bikey
6. Go to file manager and locate the Keys folder

1. Paste the .bikey file there
2. Go to the Startup tab and locate the ADDITIONAL CLIENT MODS field
3. Copy the mod’s ID, that can be found the in the Steam Workshop URL and paste in the field, like in the example

1. Go to the Console tab and start the server
