How to Find DayZ Server Logs

Check what is going on when you are not around.

DayZ server logs are valuable tools for players and support staff to identify and troubleshoot server issues. The server automatically creates logs for errors, but it can also be set up to record other events like players joining or leaving, as well as player deaths. These additional logs are activated using the -adminlog startup command and are not turned on by default.

Finding the Logs

  1. Go to your DayZ Server Panel and make sure the server is off.
  2. Navigate to Files.
  3. Open the serverprofile folder.
  4. Right-click on the logs you want to Download.

Creating an Admin Log

  1. Go to your DayZ Server Panel and make sure the server is off.
  2. Navigate to Startup.
  3. Look for the [ADVANCED] EXTRA STARTUP PARAMETERS variable.
  4. After the other parameters, type -adminlog and -profiles.
  5. Go back to the Console tab and Start the server.
