How to Disable Voice Chat on Your DayZ Server

Turning the voice chat off is as easy as it can get.

In DayZ, voice chat is a key feature for communication in its post-apocalyptic setting. It enables players to talk with other survivors nearby, supporting teamwork and leading to intense moments. This proximity-based chat enhances the game’s immersion and dynamics, letting players plan together, negotiate, or judge whether to trust others through direct conversation.

Changing the Setting

  1. Go to your DayZ Server Panel and make sure the server is off.
  2. Navigate to Startup.
