How to Disable Third Person on Your DayZ Server

Turning the third person off couldn't be easier.

DayZ’s third-person mode gives players a different way to explore its extensive open world, by showing their character from a behind-the-shoulder view. This expands their field of view, helping with navigation and awareness of their surroundings. Players can switch between this mode and others, letting them pick the view that fits their play style and strategy best.

Changing the Setting

  1. Go to your DayZ Server Panel and make sure the server is off.
  2. Navigate to Startup.
