How to Add a Password to Your DayZ server

Setting up a password will prevent unwanted players from joining.

Adding a password to your DayZ server makes it private and more secure, allowing only people with the password to join. This helps keep out unwanted guests and can create a tighter-knit community, as only those who know the password can get in. While not as secure as a whitelist, a password still offers a good level of protection against unwanted players.

Setting a Password

  1. Go to your DayZ Server Panel and make sure the server is off.
  2. Navigate to Startup.
