How to Add MLO to FiveM Server

Learning how to add MLO to FiveM server is one of the best ways to give your players new places to explore. Custom MLOs are custom interiors, like police stations, hospitals, clubs, and apartments, that you can add to the map to make your server feel more complete.

Adding MLOs

  1. Download an MLO and extract the files locally.

  2. Open the extracted folder and check the contents. Make sure it's the actual MLO resource, not just the model files. A real MLO resource folder usually has a data folder and a stream folder. Inside the stream folder, you may find files like .ydr, .ymap, .ytyp, .ybn, and .ydd.

  3. Access the RocketNode Panel.

  4. Stop the server.

  5. Go to the Files tab.

  6. Open the resources folder.

  7. Click Create Directory.

  8. Name it [mlos].

  9. Inside the created folder, upload the MLO folder that contains the actual MLO resources.

  10. Head back to the container and open the server.cfg file.

  11. Add a #mlos comment, then add an ensure <MLO Folder> line under it. For example, if the folder is named police_station, it should look like the following:

    # mlos
    ensure police_station

  12. Click Save Content.

  13. Start the server.
