Enabling or Disabling Auto Save in DST

The autosaver_enabled setting controls whether your server automatically saves world progress at regular intervals. Disabling this can be useful for specific testing or temporary servers.

Method 1: Use the RocketNode Panel

  1. Log in to the RocketNode Game Panel.

  2. Select your Don't Starve Together server.

  3. Stop the server from the Overview tab.

  4. Go to the Configuration tab and open Startup.

  5. Locate the AUTO SAVE ENABLED setting.

  6. Set it to:

    • true to enable automatic world saves (recommended).
    • false to disable automatic saving entirely.
  7. Start your server again from the Overview tab.

Method 2: Edit via Config File

  1. Go to the File Manager tab.
  2. Navigate to: /DoNotStarveTogether/config/server/cluster.ini
  3. Find: autosaver_enabled = true
  4. Change to: autosaver_enabled = false
  5. Restart the server.

Notes

  • Auto saves reduce progress loss in case of crashes.
  • Turning off autosave is not recommended for long-term servers.
