Select your Don't Starve Together server.
-
Stop the server from the Overview tab.
-
Go to the Configuration tab and open Startup.
-

-
To remove the password, leave the field completely empty.
-
Return to the Overview tab and start your server.
Method 2: Set or Remove the Password via Config File
- Go to the File Manager tab in your panel.
- Navigate to: /DoNotStarveTogether/config/server/cluster.ini
- Find the line: cluster_password = yourpasswordhere
- To set a password, change the value to something custom: cluster_password = letmein
- To remove the password, delete everything after the
=sign: cluster_password = - Start your server again from the Overview tab.
Notes
- Anyone with the password can join—even if they’re not on your friends list.
- If your server is also set to “friends only,” both conditions must be met (must be your friend and know the password).
- Use a strong, unique password if you're running events or testing mods privately.
