How to Enable Random World Generation on Your 7 Days to Die Server
Learn how to enable random world generation on your 7 Days to Die server to create a unique, procedurally generated map for your gameplay.

Customize your server's world for a unique experience every time.
By default, 7 Days to Die servers use predefined maps, but you can enable random world generation to create a new, unique world each time. Here’s how to set it up:
Steps to Enable Random World Generation:
- Log in to RocketNode's Game Panel.
- Navigate to File Manager and open serverconfig.xml.
- Scroll down to find the GameWorld option.
- Change the value of GameWorld to
RWG. - Set the GameName to a name of your choice for the world.
- Click Save and restart your server.
Steps to Revert to a Pre-generated World:
- Log in to RocketNode's Game Panel.
- Navigate to File Manager and open serverconfig.xml.
- Scroll down to find the GameWorld option.
- Change the value of GameWorld to one of the predefined maps:
- Navezgane
- PREGEN6k
- PREGEN8k
- PREGEN10k
- Set the GameName to a name of your choice for the world.
- Click Save and restart your server.
