Customize how your server appears in the server list.
7 Days to Die offers several settings that let you control how your server is presented to others in the server list. Here's how to adjust those details:
- Log in to RocketNode's Game Panel and stop your server.
- Go to the File Manager and locate the
serverconfig.xmlfile. - Open the
serverconfig.xmlfile and look for the following properties:- ServerName: This property changes the name of your server in both the in-game browser and the Steam server viewer. Set this to whatever name you want for your server.
- ServerDescription: This property lets you provide a brief description of your server. When someone clicks on your server in the server browser, this description will be the first thing they see.
- ServerWebsiteURL: Use this property to add a clickable website URL link under the server description. This is useful for directing players to a website with more information about your server or community.
- ServerPassword: This property allows you to add a password to your server, restricting access to only those who know the password. If you're looking for more details on securing your server, refer to our guide on making your 7 Days to Die server private.
- ServerLoginConfirmationText: This property lets you create a custom message that appears before a player loads into your server. The player will have the option to continue joining or leave the server based on this message.
- Save the changes to the
serverconfig.xmlfile. - Restart your server to apply the new settings.
