Palworld x Terraria: Tides of Terraria Is Here
Palworld just dropped its biggest content update yet and it’s a crossover fans didn’t see coming. Tides of Terraria (v0.6.0) is now live, bringing a wave of new gameplay mechanics, island content, weapons, enemies, and one very familiar raid boss from the world of Terraria.
If you’re playing Palworld on PC or Xbox, here’s what’s waiting for you in this huge expansion.
Terraria Dungeon and Moon Lord Raid
A mysterious new dungeon filled with Terraria-style enemies has appeared. Inside, you can harvest exclusive materials to craft new gear, including 6 weapons and 7 armour sets straight from the Terraria universe.
At the heart of this crossover is the Moon Lord, Terraria’s infamous final boss. This raid boss now threatens the Palpagos Islands, and you’ll need all your strength (and your best Pals) to bring him down.
New Islands, Fishing, Salvaging, and More
The world of Palworld just got a lot bigger:
- Three new island types have been added: Tropical, Iceberg, and Shipwreck Islands, each with new Pals and unique environments.
- Fishing is now available: Craft a rod, bait it, and find a spot with fish shadows to catch new water-based Pals.
- Salvaging is live: Use water-type Pals to fish out new ores and materials from the ocean floor.
- A new Turbulence mechanic lets you ride wind currents to soar into the sky.
Mission System and Trust Mechanics
You can now take on quests across the Palpagos Islands through the all-new Mission System, including a special questline with Zoe, who becomes recruitable after completing her arc.
Pals now also gain trust over time. The more time spent together, the more powerful your Pal becomes. This new mechanic especially helps lower-tier Pals shine later in the game.
Buildings, Tools, and Arena Updates
This update also introduces several powerful new building types:
- Pal Surgery Table – Modify passives and even change Pal’s gender.
- Large Incubator – Hatch multiple eggs at once.
- Fishing Pond – Set up your own backyard fishing spot.
- Hexolite Quartz Mine – A new resource extractor.
- Palbox Control Device – Swap Pals from anywhere in your base.
Plus, the Arena now features rule settings, spectator mode, and new reward mechanics through battle tickets. It's also available as a single-player challenge mode now.
Combat, Weapons, and Passive Overhaul
The level cap has been increased from 60 to 65, and a series of new weapons have been added:
- Charge Rifle
- Energy Shotgun
- Overheat Rifle
- Boost Gun and Pal Recovery Grenade
You’ll also find a wide variety of new water, grass, and ice elemental skills, plus unique skills like Hydro Spin and Konoha Flip. To make things smoother, passive skills have been rebalanced and new ones added.
Settlement Overhaul and World Improvements
NPC settlements have been reworked to feel more lived-in, and enemy factions now build bases just like players. Raiding these bases unlocks faction-themed building blueprints.
Additional world improvements include:
- Fishing & salvage spots are scattered across the sea
- New dungeon layouts
- Clean building materials for sleek, futuristic bases
- New achievements and bug fixes
Pals also have updated swimming animations and more accurate mount speeds, making exploration more dynamic.
Palworld Is Leveling Up Fast
From raid bosses to base upgrades and the debut of cross-game content, Tides of Terraria is a clear sign that Palworld is just getting started. Whether you're here for the Moon Lord fight or to explore new islands and Pals, this update is packed with content for builders, explorers, and fighters alike.
